Writing-- I began writing short stories in 3rd grade. 1st published (in local newspaper) at 14. Two novels published--Time's Fool (Doubleday, 1981), reprinted as Time's Fool and Other Stories by Brief Candle Press in 2015 and Down in the Barraque in 2016, who also printed sf short story collection Annapolis to Andromeda in 2015. Approximately 40 stories published, about half of them sf. About 20 poems published, mostly in little magazines. 3 songs published in Broadside. 5 plays produced in Baltimore.

Theatre-- Began acting as a high school freshman. Attended drama school at NYU (1960) then switched majors after summer stock (Champlain Shakespeare Festival). Have acted and run lights for American Light Opera Company (ALOC), Hexagon Club, The Hippodrome (Gainesville, Fla.), and Fells Point Theatre (Baltimore), as well as quite a few others.

Music-- Began performing as a folksinger with Bob Clayton as the hungry 2 in DC in 1966. Have also performed at The Bent Card (Gainesville), The Exit (New Haven), the Gaslight (New York), The Blue Unicorn (Haight Ashbury), Andy's (New Orleans), The Mount Vernon Coffeehouse (Baltimore), the SAW coffeehouse (DC), Border's (Bowie, Md.), Unexpected Pleasures (Annapolis), The Year of the Rabbit Coffee Pub (Bowie, Md.), Cafe Florian (Camp Springs, Md.), the New Deal Cafe (Greenbelt, Md.), and the wonderful Wagon Shed in New Freedom, Pa. I also did some longer sets at the Relay (Md.) Town Hall, opening for Roger Dale Hockensmith and others, and I've opened for other people at the Riverdale (Md.) Bookshop. In 2000-2001, I recorded some of my songs with J.R. Robusto, which I released as a CD, Songs Without Wisdom and a second CD Ancient Laughter with JR and with Ray Tilkens. Moved up to Massachusetts in 2011 and in 2012 I began hanging around with Burrie Jenkins and Conga Bob Adelson, hitting just about every open mike in the Connecticut River Valley in Mass. and southern Vermont. I performed regularly at Sam's Pizza in Northampton from 2012 to 2019, when Sam's closed. In 2015-16, I hit quite a few open mikes while driving around the country. After another year in Northampton, I spent 2 1/2 months driving like a drunken snake to Vancouver and back, moving into the Florence section of Northampton in August 2017.
