When The Summer's Gone

by Grant Carrington

Two acts, one set. 3 men, 3 women, 35-45. Written in 1982.

Six former hippies, two couples, a business woman, and a senator's aide, meet for the first time in over ten years to learn what has happened to each of them, to learn about things that had happened fifteen years earlier that some of them had not known about or realized. In the end, some of them have reconciled their past with their present. They promise to meet again but it is only politeness and they will probably never see each other again.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
